Kate Bristol
In her first convention appearance, Kate Bristol, a young accomplished voice and stage actress, will be heartily welcomed at AFW4!
About Kate
Voice actor Kate Bristol landed her first professional acting gig at the age of six and her first anime voiceover job for FUNimation at the age of eleven. She is best known as the voices of Kisa Sohma in FRUITS BASKET, Miho Fujikawa in SUZUKA, and Sayo Aisaka in NEGIMA. Kate has played Pan in DRAGONBALL Z and a host of "young" flashback characters: young Pan in DRAGONBALL GT, young Timothy and young Foxy Fox in KIDDY GRADE, young Yuki in FRUITS BASKET, and young Kurama in YU YU HAKASHO. Other credits include FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST, KODOCHA, RUMBLING HEARTS and HELL GIRL. Kate also appears as Flower Girl in the first FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST game, and hopes that someday she might advance to the game's skill level that features her voice.
Besides voiceover work, Kate has also appeared in a number of regional and national television commercials. An accomplished singer, her first love is live theater. Favorite roles include Cinderella in Into the Woods, Ida in HONK! and Catherine in Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge. She is a Betty Buckley Award nominee and a third-year soprano in the Texas All-State Choir. She was named Outstanding Actress in a Musical at Stagedoor Manor for her portrayal of young Sally in Stephen Sondheim's Follies (another "young" character!).
In addition to performing, Kate enjoys her creating her own stop-motion animation and filmmaking projects. Soon she'll be leaving her home state of Texas for college in New York City. She hopes to stay involved with voice acting for many years to come.
