The Mascot contest is an opportunity for talented artists from all over the world to show us their idea of the ideal mascot! Not only will 2000+ anime fans get to see YOUR artwork, but there are also bragging rights involved. Interested? Read on.

WE WOULD LIKE TO GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW US WHAT YOU’VE GOT!

All Entries for the Mascot art contest must be your original artwork of your original anime character(s). No logos or copies of characters already published will be allowed. Entries can be in any PRINT medium (paints, airbrush, pencils, and or digital). If entering a color picture please include a black and white copy to use on advertising. Try to minimize use of color to 4 or 6 colors, this will make it easier to use. READ THESE CAREFULLY IF YOU WANT TO BE ELIGABLE FOR PRIZES!

1. The contest deadline is June 1st 2010. All mailed entries MUST be post marked by this date. All E-mailed Entries MUST be received by this date.

2. Previous winners from the year before are ineligible to enter and will receive special mention in the display. However, in order to keep it fair, they are not eligible to win the overall competition. This is only for the PREVIOUS year winners. Example: The winner from 2006 is not eligible to win in 2007, but will be in 2008. This way, everyone gets a chance to win at least once.

3. Entries MUST have full name provided. Entries without a full legal name will be automatically disqualified because we do not know who you are.

4. All entries must be FAMILY FRIENDLY, NO PROFANITY OR NUDITY. Chest should be covered and skirts should be at least half way to the knees. Animals that look like people should be covered also. This is an all ages event so to be judged and displayed your art must comply to this rule. Artwork not following this rule will not be displayed.

5. Entries should have an Anime theme.

6. Art must be your own original work.

7. By submitting your artwork, you are agreeing that the Anime Festival Wichita Staff (and its sponsor, Wolfmoon Productions, LLC) will be able to use your artwork (credited rightfully to you, of course) for future promotions, websites, and advertising. You will not receive your art work back. If you do not wish for your artwork to be used in this way, then please don’t enter.

JUDGING: Judging is based on creativity, workmanship, usefulness for advertising and overall appeal. This is an all ages contest. If we receive a lot of entries from different age groups in the future, we will open up the competition to different age brackets, so everyone will get a chance to win.
